Turkey launches new diplomatic attack against Armenia

Baku – APA. Turkey is set to begin a new diplomatic attack against Armenia after the decision of Constitutional Court of Armenian Republic which made the protocol’s process freeze.

According to APA citing Turkish media, today, the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Feridun Siniroglu will arrive in Switzerland, where the Turkish-Armenian protocols were signed to meet with his Swiss counterpart Michael Ambul. During the visit with the Swiss Foreign Ministry’s spokesman he will discuss the issues concerning the decision on protocols made by the Constitutional Court of Armenian Republic, which Turkey believes contradicts the text and spirit of the protocols. The Foreign Minister will try to draw his counterpart’s attention to the fact that in case if Armenia makes no steps forward proving the protocols not to contradict its text and spirit, then Turkey will no longer continue this process. Note that, M.Ambul is one of the architectures of the underground negotiations between Turkey and Armenia during summer of 2008.

According to the Turkish MFA, official Ankara is planning to have diplomatic attack through personal meetings, and only then the legal document will be presented to the interested sides. After the Swiss city, the Foreign Minister’s program includes visits with OSCE Minsk Group member countries (Russia, USA and France).
