Azerbaijani parliament discusses incident in military unit in Dashkesen region

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev-APA. Fatal incident in military unit in Dashkesen region has been discussed at todayâ€™s session of the Azerbaijani parliament. Delivering speech at the session deputy Igbal Agazade demanded the Defence Minister to come to the parliament, APA reports. To him, this incident shows the negative situation inside army: â€œThe Azerbaijan army is the guaranty of state. Special attention should be paid to this sphere. Such incidents happened many times. The Defence Minister resigns after such incidents in civil statesâ€.

Deputy Ikram Israfil noted that the recent incident in the army shook everybody. He offered to send delegation of deputies to the site: â€œThis sphere needs serious reformsâ€.

But Deputy Siyavush Novruzov called not to exaggerate this accident: â€œInvestigation has been launched on the fact at the Prosecutorâ€™s Office. The public will be informed about the results of the investigation. There is a great interest in the army now. It is not right to demand the report of any Defence Ministryâ€™s body on any incident, at all time. They bear responsibility before the Supreme-Commander-in-chiefâ€.

First deputy speaker, Member of Parliamentâ€™s defence and security committee Ziyafet Esgerov noted that incident in military unit worried everybody and serious measures are held: â€œI spoke to Minister after this incident. Committee has been sent to the site,â€ he said.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov also noted that investigation group had been created on this incident and the public will be informed.
