Turkish and Russian presidents exchange views on solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict

APA reports quoting RIA Novosti that the Kremlinâ€™s press service informed that Russia-Turkey cooperation was basically in the focus of attention during the phone conversation: â€œWhile exchanging views on situation in the Caucasus, Turkish President Abdulla Gul highly assessed Russiaâ€™s contributions to the international efforts to achieve a progress in solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The sides expressed satisfaction with the joint works carried out in the Black Sea region and touched upon the security issues in Europe as well as Russiaâ€™s initiatives on drawing up a contract on security in Europeâ€.

Note that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is expected to pay an official visit to Turkey in May.

The phone talk between the presidents was Turkeyâ€™s initiative.
