Azerbaijani parliamentarians had meeting in Colorado University

USA – APA. The Members of Azerbaijani parliament Ganira Pashayeva, Zahid Oruj and the officials of Milli Mejlis apparatus, who are on the official visit to the United States, had meeting with the lecturers and students of the Colorado University.
According to APA, Ganira Pashayeva and Zahid Oruj made a speech before the auditory for 1.5 hour, and at the end of the meeting answered attendees’ questions concerning the events occurring in our region. Azerbaijani parliamentarians talked about Azerbaijan’s history, tragedy, Armenians’ emigration into Azerbaijani lands, influences on Azerbaijan targeted to establishment of Armenian state in Azerbaijanis’ lands, exile hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis in 1948, 1953, and 1988. The meeting attendees were informed about occupation 20% of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia, genocide of Azerbaijanis in Khojali, Armenian vandalism toward cultural and historical monuments of Azerbaijan, and awful living conditions of 1 million Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs who are unable to return to their native-lands.
In the meeting the moderators answered the questions about US-Azerbaijan relationship as well as energy security. The attendees also questioned about Azerbaijan’s relations with Russia and Iran, and struggle against international terrorism.
The parliamentarians underscored the necessity to eliminate the 907 amendment, which passed in US congress due to Armenian lobby’s activity. The elimination of 907 amendment will cause for development of the relationships between two countries and restore the justice.
