Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Palestinian Authority meet in Baku

Baku. Viktoria Dementieva â€“ APA. The Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, APA reports. The development of the bilateral relations and strengthening of political, scientific and cultural cooperation were discussed at the meeting. Elmar Mammadyarov informed Riyad al-Maliki about Armeniaâ€™s aggression policy and Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Riyad al-Maliki underlined that both countries faced similar problem and said the release of the occupied territories should be achieved on the level of the international organizations. He said the bilateral relations should be improved more and noted that the foreign ministries of the both countries plan to sign an agreement on political consultations. Riyad al-Maliki invited Elmar Mammadyarov to Palestine. Elmar Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan is ready to mediate in the settlement of the conflict in the Near East.
