Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. â€œThere is no barrier that could create problems between the two countriesâ€, said Adviser to Iranian President, Chairman of the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations Mehdi Mustafavi reacting to the insult against the Azerbaijani flag on Iranâ€™s Sahar TV, APA reports. â€œFortunately media organizations of both countries have strong and extensive relations and are working to extend their friendly relations more. We have clear and bright view on future and aim to intensify cooperation between the two countries. High-level visits between the two countries are good example of the strong relations. We are trying to develop the cultural relationsâ€.

Video tapes and articles placed on the Internet pages of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting and its Sahar TV purposefully distorted the Azerbaijani domestic and foreign policy and insulted our national flag and slandered against the members of Azerbaijani Government and parliament and other officials. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan sent a note to Iran regarding this issue.
