Baku – APA. “The agreement will be signed on October 10, if there is no negative development on the part of the Armenians”, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told The Wall Street Journal. Erdogan said a resolution of the Karabakh conflict and rapprochement between Turkey and Armenia remain linked, and that a positive outcome at this week’s talks, to be held in Moldova, would help overall. “And in addition to that the meeting in Moldova is very important because although the Armenians sometimes say this agreement has nothing to do with the Azerbaijan, there is in fact a relationship”.
The parliaments of Armenia and Turkey need to ratify the protocol for it to take force, said Erdogan and added that he couldn’t guarantee that it would be ratified by the Turkish parliament, as parliamentarians in Ankara would have a free vote in a secret ballot.
