Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz presidents hold meeting

Nakhchivan â€“ APA. On Friday, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev, who arrived in the Azerbaijanâ€™s Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan to attend the summit of Turkic-speaking countries. President Aliyev emphasized the importance of this summit and said it would contribute to the strengthening of relations between our countries and peoples, press service of the President told APA.

The head of state said bilateral relations were dynamically developing and there was good potential for the development of cooperation. He said the visit of Kyrgyz president to Azerbaijan was important for the development of bilateral relations as well.

Kurmanbek Bakiyev said the 9th summit of the Turkic-speaking leaders was contributing to the extension of relations between the countries. Bakiyev emphasized that his first visit to Azerbaijan was paid to Nakhchivan and said Heydar Aliyevâ€™s memory was always honored in his country. Bakiyev said his visit would contribute to the extension of bilateral relations.
