Serzh Sarsgyan says opening of borders with Turkey will create healthy competitiveness for Armeniaâ€™s economy

Baku â€“ APA. The opening of Turkish-Armenian borders will create healthy competitiveness for the Armeniaâ€™s economy, said president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in his interview with The Armenian Reporter, APA reports quoting Armenian news agency.

â€œI frequently spoke about the economic results of the opening the borders. Of course, it will create healthy competitiveness for our economy in the futureâ€, said Sargsyan.

He reminded about the ideas in early years of the independence that Armenia wouldnâ€™t hold out under the pressure of Iranian goods. â€œThere were such ideas in early years of the independence, but the time showed that it was groundless. I think the small countries neighboring with the large ones have such complex. Our producers will get a large market potential. I donâ€™t doubt that our business people will achieve success in this competition. The government will care about the local producers and small businessesâ€.
