Araz Azimov: â€œMost part of the lands must be returned in the first phase and other part â€“ in the second short phaseâ€

Victoria Dementyeva â€“ APA. â€œLiberation of the lands and deployment of peacekeeping forces were discussed earlier and I think there are few misunderstandings that which of them should be carried out firstâ€, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov, APA reports. Azimov said the liberation of the lands must be based on logical compatibility. â€œFirst Aghdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan and Gubadli regions are demanded to be liberated. There are some difficulties with Lachin region. But we will probably find opportunity to solve this issue too by the phase-by-phase solution. Most part of the lands must be returned in the first phase and other part â€“ in the second short phase. This issue is solved systematically. I think the conceptual views were already coordinatedâ€.

Azimov mentioned the issue of peacekeeping forces. â€œIt needs to pay attention to the terms of peace and peacekeeping forces because their names and status is directly related to their authorities. The status and authorities of these troops will depend on the agreement to be signed and trust between the sides. If there is a trust, there will be few needs in the peacekeeping mission or they will be provided with few authoritiesâ€.
