OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to visit region early October

The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will visit the region early October to prepare the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders within the CIS summit in Chisinau, the co-chairs said in their statement, APA reports. The co-chairs said they held consultations in Washington on the initiative of US co-chair Robert Bradtke on September 24. They also met with Senior Director for European affairs at the US National Security Council Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Tina Kaidanov. The co-chairs held separate meetings with the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers within the 64th session of the UN General Assembly on September 25. â€œThe ministers and co-chairs expressed their loyalty to the talks on the basis of basic principles and discussed the upcoming visit of the co-chairs to the region early Octoberâ€. The co-chairs called on the parts to show constructive positions in this important phase of the negotiations.
