President of Czech Senate meets with teachers and students of Baku Slavic University

Baku. Viktoria Dementieva â€“ APA. President of the Czech Senate PÅ™emysl Sobotka met with the teachers and students of Baku Slavic University, APA reports. Rector of the university Kamal Abdulla said 122 students specialized in the Czech language, economy, ethnography and culture. He noted that studying of foreign languages has positive influence on the development of the relations between Czech Republic and Azerbaijan.
â€œI hope this positive tendency will continue in future,â€ he said.

PÅ™emysl Sobotka appreciated teaching of the Czech language in Baku Slavic University and presented books in the Czech and English languages on the occasion of the opening of Czech literature library. He also presented awards to Vusal Isgandarli and Nazrin Valiyeva who participated in the 37th edition of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2009. Following this, president of the Senate answered the questions of the students.
