Working groups on emergency situations of BSEC countries hold joint meeting in Baku

Baku. Viktoria Dementieva – APA. Working groups on emergency situations of the Organization of the Black Sea Cooperation (BSEC) are holding joint meeting in Baku, APA reports. The participants will discuss cooperation of the emergency situations structures and other state institutions, importance of intergovernmental agreements in eliminating natural and manmade disasters, reduction of seismic risks, trainings and workshops in the region. The meeting of BSEC emergency situations ministers will be held in Baku tomorrow. Baku Declaration will be adopted after the meeting.

BSEC is an intergovernmental organization uniting 12 states. The organization was established by the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Treaty on May 1, 1999. Azerbaijan is chairing the BSEC now. Azerbaijan’s chairmanship will end on October 31.
