Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received EU energy Commissioner Andris Pielbags, Press Service of the President told APA. Andris Pielbags congratulated President Aliyev on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Contract of the Century and conveyed best regards of President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso to the head of state.
Touching upon the importance of the Contract of the Century, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan had dynamically been developing in all spheres, including energy for fifteen years. The sides also exchanged views on current state of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU, implementation of energy projects in the country etc.
