Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elkhan Polukhov told APA that the minister would be on a visit to New York on September 21-27. He scheduled to address the session and to meet with other participants. Mammadyarov is also expected to meet with the OSCE Minsk Group’s new US Co-Chair Robert Bratke.
GUAN foreign ministers are expected to hold GUAM+U.S., GUAM+Japan and GUAM+Poland meetings within the session.
The agenda of the 64th session of the UN General Assembly will include the issues of frozen conflicts in the territories of GUAM member countries, its impact on the regional security and the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
