Iran’s ambassador: “Issue of Caspian legal status was solved 80 percentâ€

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. “Today the littoral states make joint efforts to determine legal status of the Caspian Sea. The issue was solved 80 percent. The Caspian littoral states are friendly countries and can solve the issue between themselves without any outside pressureâ€, ambassador of the Islamic republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagir Bahrami told journalists, APA reports. The ambassador said Iran participated and would participate in all meetings of the Caspian issue. “We will not participate at the Aktau meeting because it doesn’t relate to the Caspian. They told us that the meeting will not concern the Caspian and therefore we don’t join it. There can’t be any Caspian meeting without Iranâ€.
