Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry warned the citizens about the situation in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, APA reports quoting the official website of Foreign Ministry. The Ministry says that terror attacks and clashes between the religious groups have strengthened recently.
“There were attempts to kill state officials, foreigners. Terrorist groups kidnap and take foreigners hostage in Pakistan.”

The Ministry warns that Afghanistan is too dangerous for foreigners.
“Hotels, government buildings, buildings of international institutions are potential targets, they have not been insured against risk of attack. Kabul airport and foreign crew were attacked. The roads leading to the airport and around it are also very dangerous. Travels to the territories around Kabul by land are very dangerous. A lot of mines have been planted in the country. Therefore, no territory is considered safe.”

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry says that though the security is stable in Tajikistan, travels to the territories bordering on Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are very dangerous.
“Though Dushanbe is safe, armed clashes often occur between the drug dealers and border guards in the bordering regions.”

The Ministry recommends the citizens traveling to the above-mentioned countries to contact Azerbaijan’s embassies in those countries and register in the consulates.
