Türkiye has spent 250 million TL on a project to create a forest fund in the Garabagh and East Zangezur economic region, this was reflected in the Cabinet of Ministers' report for 2024, APA-Economics reports.
According to the information, a "Grant Agreement on the establishment of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan International Forestry Training Center and Sapling Establishment" project was signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to conduct trainings at the Forestry Training Center to increase the knowledge and skills of specialists working in the field of forestry from local, Central Asian and neighboring countries, and to grow seedlings based on advanced technologies in sapling cultivation and use them in planting and greening forests in the forest fund lands of the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions.
