Import and sale of hybrid cars, sale of electric cars exempt from VAT

Sale of cars working with the electric motor is exempt from VAT in Azerbaijan, reflected in the amendment proposed to the Tax Code discussed at today's meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Milli Mejlis (parliament) of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Note that import of cars working with the electric car was exempt from VAT. From now, alongside the import of cars working with the electric motor, sale of them is also exempt from VAT.
