In January–October of this year, Georgia conducted trade operations worth 1.09 billion US dollars with Azerbaijan, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the report of Georgia’s National Statistics Office.
This figure increased by 2.26% in an annual comparison.
In the first 10 months, with a 5.3% share in Georgia’s total trade turnover, Azerbaijan became the country’s 6th main trade partner after Türkiye, the USA, Russia, China, and Kyrgyzstan.
During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth 587.8 million US dollars to Azerbaijan, which is 3.8% less than the same figure of last year. With a 10.1% share in Georgia’s exports, Azerbaijan ranked 4th among the neighboring country’s main export partners after Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
Georgia’s imports from Azerbaijan increased by 10.2% year-on-year, reaching 505.8 million US dollars. With a 3.4% share, Azerbaijan ranked 6th in Georgia’s imports after the USA, Türkiye, China, Russia, and Germany.
In January–October, the total value of Georgia’s foreign trade turnover amounted to 20.8 billion US dollars, including 5.83 billion US dollars in exports and 14.9 billion US dollars in imports.
