In January-February 2025, Azerbaijan's non-oil sector exports increased by 6.6% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 485 million USD, says the preliminary figures of the "Export Review" for March by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, APA-Economics reports.
It is noted that in the current year's January-February period, food product exports increased by 12.3%, totaling 153.9 million USD.
During this period, exports of ferrous metals and products made from them increased by 66.9%, sugar and sugar confectionery products by 47%, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 39.2%, chemical industry products by 30%, tea by 21.3%, and aluminum and products made from it by 2.8%.
In the period of January-February 2025, the export of agricultural products increased by 9.5%, reaching 119.7 million USD, while the export of agro-industrial products grew by 17.7%, amounting to 43 million USD. In total, the combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 11.6%, reaching 162.8 million USD.
