The current account surplus in 2024 was $4.7 billion, or 6.3% of GDP, APA-Economics reports citing Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
It was noted that, according to the State Customs Committee, a positive balance of 1 billion USD was recorded in the foreign trade balance in January 2025, which is 40.5% higher compared to the same period last year. According to the latest estimates, there is a possibility of improvement in the current account forecast for 2025 compared to 2024 and previous forecasts.
Monetary policy tools are applied considering the processes in financial markets and changes in the liquidity position of the banking system.
