The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has improved its forecast for Azerbaijan's economy, APA-Economics reports.
ADB predicts that Azerbaijan’s real GDP will grow by 3.4% in 2025 and by 3.3% in 2026. This is 0.8 percentage points higher than previous estimates.
Overall, ADB assesses the average annual growth of Azerbaijan's economy in 2025–2026 at 3.35%.
The Bank also forecasts that economic growth across the Caucasus and Central Asia will slow from 5.7% in 2024 to 5.4% in 2025, and to 5% in 2026.
ADB explains this slowdown by reduced economic activity due to weak external demand in the mentioned countries.
