The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced its expectations regarding the Azerbaijani state budget, APA-Economics reports.
ADB forecasts that the government budget deficit will rise to 2.4% of GDP in 2025 before narrowing to 2.0% in 2026:
It was noted that revenue is forecasted at 30% of GDP in 2025, reflecting tax revenue of 12%, nontax revenue of 7%, and transfers from SOFAZ of 11%: "Budget expenditure is projected at 32% of GDP, with 19% for current expenditure and 11% for capital outlays. Social protection and support expenditures are projected to rise by 8% and represent about 12% of total budget expenditure. Public investment outlays are projected to decline to 2% of GDP."
