Azerbaijan gets 24% rise in direct investments in oil-gas sector of foreign countries

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. The balance on direct investments made $ 208.8 mln in Q1, 2012. According to Central Bank, volume of direct investments from abroad stood at $ 1,161.0 mln, investments directed to abroad - $ 952.2 mln.

At the same time, positive balance in direct investments on oil-gas sector made $ 967.5 mln, Azerbaijanâ€™s direct investments in oil-gas sector of foreign countries were $ 902.6 bln. Consequently, positive balance made $ 64.9 mln.

Note that, according to outcomes of Q1 2011, direct investments in Azerbaijanâ€™s oil-gas sector rose 40%, Azerbaijanâ€™s direct investments in oil-gas sector of foreign countries â€“ 23.9%.
