Current operation balance / GDP ratio decreases in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Current operation balance / GDP ratio in Azerbaijan made 29.7%in Q1, 2012, down 7% from a year earlier.

According to APAâ€™s calculations, last year, this figure made 34.2%.

Such a high ratio of current account balance to GDP is due to a large positive trade balance resulting from multiple excess of exports over imports. The ratio of current account balance to the non-oil GDP in January-March 2012 amounted to 72.9%, down 4.4% compared to last year.
