Azerbaijanâ€™s state budget surplus increases by 25% year-on-year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The state budget revenue made AZN 5.4 bln in January-April, 2012, while expenditures made AZN 3.9 bln, said the State Statistical Committee.

The budget surplus reached AZN 1.5 bln, accounting for 9% of GDP.

Compared to last year, budget revenues increased by 35%, expenses â€“ 39.3%, surplus soared 25%.

40.3% or AZN 1.568 bln of budget expenses spent to development of economy, 15.8% or AZN 614.9 mln â€“ to social protection and social security and 12 % or AZN 468.3 mln â€“ to education and health.
