AzersÄ±gorta sees decline in revenues

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. The insurance premiums collected by Azersigorta in January-May, 2012, amounted to AZN 10.513 mln, down 5.75 compared to last year.

During the reporting period, insurance payments dropped 7.5% to AZN 3.786 mln.

The most premiums were collected on Motor vehicle liability insurance (AZN 1.885 mln), Compulsory insurance of real estate (AZN 716.099 thousand), Personal accident insurance (AZN 590.064 thousand), KASKO insurance of cars (AZN 248.819 thousand), The enterprise and property insurance (AZN 198.052 thousand) and Insurance of property leaved by individuals as deposits (AZN 119 thousand). The share of these made 17.9%, 6.8%, 5.6%, 2.4%, 1.88% and 1.13% respectively.

The most payments fell on share of KASKO insurance of cars (AZN 282.196 thousand), Personal accident insurance (AZN 121 thousand, Motor vehicle liability insurance (AZN 89.160 thousand) and Compulsory insurance of real estate (AZN 18.997 thousand).

Azersigorta has been in operation since 1991. It serves on 10 compulsory and 20 voluntary insurance types.
