ERC: Annual inflation in Azerbaijan reaches 6.8%

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Consumer prices decreased by 0.56% in May, 2012, in Azerbaijan, Economic Researches Center informed according to statistical observation of prices in 10 regions.

According to report of the Center, the food products went down 1.19%, non-food products rose 0.17% and services rose 0.20%, during the same period.

The prices in Baku declined 0.29%, in regions â€“ 0.82%. As well, food products slipped 0.78% in Baku, 1.58% - in regions, including non-food products soared 0.23% in Baku and 0.12%- in regions. Services soared 0.36% in Baku and 0.04% in regions.

Accoording to calculations, during 5 months of 21012, the inflation in Baku made 1.49%, and the deflation in the regions â€“ 0.67%.

In comparison to a previous year, 6.79%-increase was observed in the country. The prices in Baku soared 10%, 3.63% - in regions. The highest inflation was observed in food products (10.69%). Inflation was 0.55% in non-food products, 4.81% - in services.
