DemirBank sees 17% rise in interest profit last year

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-Economics. In 2011, DemirBank’s profit made AZN 2.514 mln, up 25% compared to 2010.
During the reporting period, total incomes of the bank rose 9.6% to AZN 45.195 mln, interest incomes increased by 10.3% to AZN 37.093 mln, non-interest incomes grew by 6.2% to AZN 8.101 mln.
Total expenses made AZN 42.680 mln, which exceeded 2010 expenses by 8.8%. Consequently, interest profit of the bank soared 17.3% to AZN 15.048 mln, non-interest loss rose 28% to AZN 13.944 mln.
Remind that, DemirBank started to operate in 1989 as Azerdəmiryolbank. As of January 1, 2012, the bank has 30 branches, 55 ATM’s, 333 POS-terminals and 745 employees across the country.
