Minister: â€œShare of non-oil sector in GDP will be reached 80% in Azerbaijan, during next 10 yearsâ€

Baku. NIjat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s main purpose during next 10 years is to double the GDP through non-oil sector, and increase the share of non-oil sector in GDP to 80%, said the Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev.

According to him, for this purpose, universally stimulation of innovative development, continuation of industrialization policy, establishment of industrial zones, increase of exportable productions and competitiveness on the basis of modern technologies, extension of application of intensive methods in agrarian sector are on the agenda.

â€œThe works on establishment of new sources of economic growth are underway. From this viewpoint, construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, establishment of International Sea Trade Port, industrial small-towns, ship-building plant based on the best modern technologies will play important role in economic growthâ€, he said.
