Azerbaijan and Israel sign agreement on mutual assistance in customs sphere

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Chairman of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev has today received Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Lavon Lotem.

Aliyev spoke about the cooperation between the two countries in all spheres, noted that customs bodies played a big role in extension of these ties, talked about mutual relations of customs services of both countries and future perspectives, noted the importance of mutual activity, information exchange for deepening of cooperation.

“State Customs Committee is interested in extension of mutual cooperation with Israeli Customs Directorate. From this viewpoint, the agreement to be signed between the sides will stimulate the development of custom services of both countries and intensify integration of the sides”, said Aliyev.

In turn, Lotem expressed great impressions about Azerbaijan, touched upon comprehensive development of economy in the country. Highly assessing the current state of economic, political, cultural relations between the two countries, the ambassador said Israel gave special attention to cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres. Moreover, he noted the importance of further intensification of ties in customs field.

Following the meeting, Aliyev and Lotem signed an agreement on mutual assistance between the governments of Azerbaijan and Israel in the field of customs.
