AXA-MBASK sees 60% rise in premiums

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. In January-September of 2011, AXA-MBASK collected AZN 9.898 mln insurance premiums, up 60% compared to last year.

57% (AZN 5.604 mln, 46% growth) of collected premiums fall on share of â€œCar insuranceâ€, 23% (AZN 2.204 mln, 3.1 times growth) on â€œProperty insuranceâ€, 5% (AZN 444.398 thousand, 2.5 times growth) on â€œCargo insuranceâ€.

Note that, during the reporting period, the company carried out insurance payment at amount of AZN 2.348 mln. The most part of payments were realized on car insurance contracts (AZN 1.762 mln), â€œMedical insuranceâ€ (AZN 444.764 thousand), â€œCompulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle ownersâ€ (AZN 69.477 thousand), â€œInsurance of unfortunate eventsâ€ (AZN 25.537 thousand).

Remind that, MBASK has been in operation since 1992. As of January, 2011, authorized capital made AZN 5.730 mln. The company operates on 29 insurance types.
