London to host conference on Azerbaijanâ€™s financial opportunities

This is a pivotal time for the financial sector, and speakers will include Dan Matthews, Partner, Baker & McKenzie CIS Ltd.; Mike Taylor, Director for Financial Institutions in Central Asia, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD); Uzma Khalil, Financial Sector Specialist, Private and Financial Sector Development Europe and Central Asia Region, The World Bank; and representatives from Central Bank of Azerbaijan; State Oil Fund (SOFAZ); and the State Committee of Securities. Subjects to be covered will include the development of Azerbaijani capital markets; structuring a debt offering; risk management practices; and access to finance.
