Meeting of Cabinet of Ministers on outcomes of socio-economic development during 9 months of 2011held under the chairmanship of Azerbaijani President
He also noted that, powerful industry potential was established in the country. According to him, agriculture sphere developed seriously. Agricultural production rose 7.6%, during 9 months, 2011. Financial situations also increased. Currency stocks increased by $11 bln and exceeded $ 40 bln.
Aliyev also noted that, fulfillment of addressed social assistance program covers 113,000 families and each family receives averagely $130.
Head of state stressed that, increase of pensions was fulfilled successfully. Jobless level makes 5.5% Speaking about launch of additional work places and implementation of successful investment projects President Aliyev noted that, 74,000 work places were launched in the country during 9 months. 50,000 of them are permanent. Thus, number of work places reached 950,000.
He also noted that, the program on development of villages and settlements of the capital continues. He also spoke about Nagorno Karabakh problem.
President Aliyev noted that, the voting on Azerbaijan’s non-permanent membership to UN Security Council was ratified. Head of State said the Armenia put forward candidacy on this issue, but understood that it would not be able to compete with Azerbaijan and made a step back. He noted that, 113 countries voted for membership of Azerbaijan and this was Azerbaijan’s success during its independence.
Thereafter FinMinister Samir Sharifov, Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abasov and Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov spoke about the measures taken in connection with socio-economic development within 9 month of 2011.
President Aliyev noted the importance of fulfillment of programs considered by the year-end: “This year, money incomes of population rose 19% and these incomes exceeded the inflation more than two timesâ€.
“Next year, the expenses of state budget will be at $ 22 bln, consolidated budget - $ 25 bln. Azerbaijan takes front rows on this indicator. Production of electrical energy will be increased, renewable energy projects will be implemented, export-oriented industrial potential will be createdâ€, added Aliyev.
President Aliyev also determined new target: “GDP must increase at least by 2 times in Azerbaijan in the coming 10 yearsâ€.
Speaking about food safety, development of agriculture, export of more products in existing markets, the creation of new processing enterprises, foreign investment in the development of entrepreneurship head of state touched upon the importance of strengthening the fight against corruption.
Aliyev noted that the measures related to development of information and technologies, oil and gas sector.
He noted that, in the near future, Azerbaijan would take the first place for the number of 5 star hotels in the region. It is notable that famous hotel brands accept Baku as an elite tourism center.
President Aliyev also spoke about the ongoing development processes in the capital, expressed sureness that all the duties would be fulfilled by the end of the year.
