Azerbaijan-based bank warns employees and clients on US application sanction against Belarusian companies

According to APA-Economics, the names of companies which were applied sanctions enumerated in the announcements in branches of Kapital Bank. These are fertilizer producer Qrodno Azot plant, wheel producer Belshina OJSC, Naftan oil processing plant Qrodno Khimvolokno OJSC. Bankâ€™s employees and clients must take the sanctions into consideration when they establish relations with these companies.

Note that, US has applied sanctions against these companies on August 11, 2011.

According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, it has not any decision on this issue and did not warn the banks.

Kapital Bank expressed its opinion on this issue. According to bank, each bank must protect its clients from al possible risks: â€œOfficial information of state bodies on sanctions in different countries are taken into consideration in the current activity of banksâ€.
