Mega Sigorta increases premiums by 2.7 times

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Mega Sigorta has collected AZN 790,000 insurance premiums during January-September, 2011, up 2.7 times from previous year.

Company says most of premiums came from Private accident and Diseases Insurance (AZN 281,758,000), Vehicle insurance (AZN 271,605,000), and Property Fire Insurance (AZN 27,460,000).

Payments on insurance accidents ended down 6.1 times to AZN 36,220,000. Most of payments went to Vehicle insurance (AZN 34,647,000).

Note that, AZN 785,142,000 was collected from voluntary insurance types, AZN 4,377,000 â€“ from compulsory insurance types. AZN 34,711,000 of payments went to voluntary, AZN 1,510,000 â€“ to compulsory insurance types.

Remind that, Mega Sigorta has been in operation since 1998. The company operates 23 voluntary and 4 compulsory insurance types.
