POS-terminals network sharply widens in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital

â€œIf above 2,000 POS-terminals have been installed on Baku before the last 6 months, now this number exceeds 13,000â€, said Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov.

To him, this increase is not related only with the holding of Eurovision-2012. Remind that, flow of foreign tourists is expected during this contest. And this issue made actual more the installation of POS-terminals.

Mammadov noted that these works were carried out in accordance with the presidentâ€™s order on stimulation of cashless calculations: â€œSpecial scheme for the installation of POS-terminals has been affirmed. Firstly, the center of Baku, then all its territory, surrounding districts, and thereupon all the regions of the republic will be provided with POS-terminalsâ€.

According to the minister, this process will go on and concern the cash registers in future as well: â€œBecause, every 5-6 years, cash registers get old and need to be changed, renewedâ€.
