Most public investments to be directed to transport sector in Azerbaijan next year
The information says state capital investment costs will be directed to construction, capital repair, reconstruction and rehabilitation of industry, transport, energy, agriculture and other infrastructures, enterprises of socio-cultural purpose, purchase of fixed assets, the country’s defense, national security, border and other measures based on the costs of works, a number of programs intended for the financing of projects and other significant events.
Note that, in 2012, public investment expenditures will be directed to the construction, rehabilitation, strengthening and repair works of schools in danger of collapse, construction of dormitories for students, the implementation of the program of gasification in the cities and regions, the improvement of electric power supply system, construction and reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems. Moreover, the funds will be allocated for the implementation of the State Program on socio-economic development, construction and capital repair of roads between the rural regions of the country, the construction of new fertilizer production plant and for the continuation of other necessary investment projects.
As to the volume of funds to be allocated to different spheres in investment program, next year, AZN 214.1 mln funds will be allocated to the area of education and science. Of these, AZN 199.7 mln fall on share of state budget, AZN 14.4 mln – foreign loans. The large-scale investment projects to be financed in education sphere include the construction of Baku Branch of Moscow State University, new educational complexes for the Diplomatic Academy and the National Conservatoire, as well as new dormitories for universities and etc.
Next year, the health sector will be allocated AZN 195.3 mln investment, of these, AZN 182.7 mln fall on share of state budget, AZN 12.6 mln – foreign loans. The main projects to be realized in this sphere are connected with the construction of Baku and the National Health Centers, new hospital in Ahmadli settlement, as well as the construction of the Central Regional Hospital in Agjabedi.
The field of culture and tourism will be allocated AZN 255.4 mln. The main projects in this sector aims construction of Modern Sport-Concert Complex in Baku, the Center named after Heydar Aliyev, the State Flag Square, new building for Azerbaijan State Carpet and National Applied Art Museum, creation of the Museum of Independence, the restoration of Funicular, construction of Shahdag tourism complex in Gusar.
Next year, AZN 148.9 mln will be allocated to the projects in youth and sports field. It includes construction of Gymnastics and Swimming Pool complex in Baku, as well as, construction of Olympic sports complexes in Astara, Jalilabad, Gakh, Shirvan, Goygol, Khachmaz, Saatli, Agjabedi, Absheron districts, building of Youth House in Dashkesen.
AZN 71.2 mln will be allocated to the construction of official buildings for diplomatic representations in abroad and central executive power bodies. AZN 52.9 mln of this will be realized on the account of state budget, AZN 18.3 mln – on the account of external credits.
AZN 342.6 mln will be invested in energy and industry spheres. AZN 316 mln of this will be realized on the account of state budget, AZN 26.6 mln – on the account of external credits.
Most of investments will be directed transport sector – AZN 2,776.6 mln. Of this, AZN 2,40.6 mln will be allocated from state budget, AZN 726 mln – from foreign credits.
AZN 32.1 mln wil be invested in agricultural sector within the state investment program, next year. Of this, AZN 12.2 mln will come from state budget, AZN 19.9 mln – from external credits.
Water supply and irrigation works require AZN 1,757.6 mln. Of this, AZN 1,218 mln will be allocated from state budget, AZN 539.6 mln – from foreign credits.
ANZ 46.1 mln of total AZN 61.6 mln which will be allocated to improve the conditions of IDPs and disabled families, will be granted by state budget, AZN 15.5 mln – by foreign loans.
AZN 500 mln wil be directed to projects within the State Program on socio-economic development of Baku’s villages, AZN 11 mln – community, ANZ 13.8 mln – communication sector.
ANZ 206.9 mln will be granted to projects on Nakhchivan AR, which AZN 116.9 mln comes from state budget, AZN 90 mln – from external loans.
Besides, AZN 100 mln will spend to renovation of capital, AZN 478.6 mln – to the organizations in special regimes and AZN 91 mln – to feasibility and project cost estimates, next year.
