World Bank and Azerbaijani State Committee for Securities start discussions on new project

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA. The delegation of the World Bank (WB) is on a visit to Azerbaijan within â€œCapital Markets Modernization Projectâ€. The State Committee for Securities (SCS) told APA-Economics that the purpose of the visit, which will continue till October 14, is the discussion of measures taken in connection with the start of execution of above-mentioned project.

The WBâ€™s delegation held a meeting with SCS Chairman Rufat Aslanli in this context. At the meeting SCS chairman noted that the preparatory work in connection with the start of execution of â€œCapital Markets Modernization Projectâ€ became intensified and said that the efficient cooperation between WB and the Committee was continuing.

In her turn, head of WBâ€™s delegation Ms. Uzma Khalil underlined that this project would have a significant role in the development of Azerbaijani capital markets.

WB allocated USD 12 mln loan to SCS for this project.
