BICEX currency turnover rises 26% in September

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. 28 deals were registered at 44 trading sessions held at currency department of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX) in September, 2011. The auctions were attended by 9 banks.

The total volume of e-trades of currency section in accounting month has made 45.266 mln in manats or 57.545 mln in dollar equivalent, up 20.5% compared to August.

Total turnovber on EUR/AZN instrument made AZN 3,718,110 (2.9 times upper than previous month) and average weighted price of Euro against made AZN 1.1267.

Consequently, the volume of e-operations conducted in currency section made AZN 48.984 mln, up 26.2% from August, 94% - from year earlier.

The average daily turnover in â€œBourse E-System of Tradesâ€ on USD/AZN reached approximately $ 2.616 mln, while the average volume of each transaction has made $ 2.055 mln.

At the same time, five bank-leaders on auctions held at currency department of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange have been determined: â€œAzerbaijan Industry Bankâ€ (53.22%), â€œUniBankâ€ (17.46%), â€œXalg Bankâ€ (17.03%), â€œBank Standardâ€ (6.20%) and â€œPasha Bankâ€ (3.13%).
