Azerbaijan sees growth in consumer lending

According to CBA, the consumer lending rose 4.9% from the beginning of the year, 072.2% in April.

At the same time, share of consumer lending in total loan portfolio decreased ot 32.8%, as at May 1, However, the share rose 4.4 percentage points in annual comparison.

These figures show the restoration in consumer lending of Azerbaijan-based banks.

At the same time, growth rates in consumer lending did not reach the pre-crisis level. Remind that, the growth rates of consumer lending made 41% in 2008, 2.1 times in 2007 and double in 2006. Consumer lending declined 0.3% in 2009, the growth made 16% in 2010.
