Azerbaijan increases trade turnover 34%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan conducted $10.7- billion trade operations with 127 countries from January to April, 2011. The State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics that export volume was $8 billion, import - $2.7 billion in the period of report. It created $5.3-billion positive net data. The trade turnover increases 33.7% as against the outcomes of first four months of last year, including 29% increase of export and 50% increase of import with 17.8% positive balance.

85.7% or $6.8-billion of export from Azerbaijan was to remote foreign countries. $1.2-bilion products were exported to the CIS countries.

68.2% of the foreign trade turnover was conducted with European countries, 21.2% - Asia, 9.7% - America, 0.8% - Africa and 0.15 – Oceania.

$10.3-bilion humanitarian and technical aid, which exceeded the last year’s results by 19.8%, entered Azerbaijan in January-April, 2011.
