IBA holds new discount campaign on plastic cards

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. International Bank of Azerbaijan will start new discount campaign from March 1, 2011. According to head of press service Rauf Agayev, IBA has held the analogical campaign at early of 2011 and the population interested in it.

He says significances to plastic cards and this process serves to the cashless accounting in the country.

He noted that, IBA has issued more than 223 000 cards in 2010 and the number of active cards makes 1.8 mln units, which is more than 40% of countryâ€™s card market, presently. Number of transactions of all banks which consumed via cards made 46.4 mln and 21 mln of this belong to IBA. Bankâ€™s turnover on cards rose AZN 40 mln to AZN 2.7 bln.

About the term of this campaign, annual service fee for Visa ClassicÂ», Â«Visa GoldÂ», Â«Visa PlatinumÂ», Â«MasterCard StandardÂ», Â«MasterCard GoldÂ», Â«MasterCard PlatinumÂ» cards will be decreased by 50%, even by 80% and this sum on 1-year Â«Classic/MasterCard StandardÂ» cards will be AZN 20, 2-years - AZN 30, 3-years â€“ AZN 40. These indexes will be AZN 25, 35 and 45 for Â«Visa/MasterCard GoldÂ» cards, AZN 30, 40 and 50 for Â«Visa/MasterCard PlatinumÂ» cards.
