Unibank gets 13% rise in loan portfolio

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2011, Azerbaijan-based Unibankâ€™s assets stood at AZN 354.937 mln, up 0.6% from year ago.

Bank says the loan portfolio rose 12.5% to AZN 237.250 mln, including consumer lending advanced 49% to AZN 145.681 mln, deposit portfolio soared 22% to AZN 167.951 mln, as well populationâ€™s deposit grew 25% to AZN 117.953 mln.

Total capital slipped 5.3% to AZN 56.285 mln, including authorized capital ended up 40% at AZN 42.027 mln.

Note that, income dropped 16% to AZN 45.199 mln, including interest income made AZN 39.620 mln, non-interest income stood at AZN 5.579 mln. At the same time, expenditure slid 10.3% to AZN 44.696 mln, as well interest expenses stood at AZN 22.704 mln, non-interest expenses at AZN 21.992 mln. Profit decreased by 7.3 times to AZN 0.503 mln.

Remind that, Unibank has been in operation since 1992. Teh bank operates 24 branches.
