Event on Compulsory Insurance against Industrial Accidents & Occupational Diseases held in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan has started to apply law on Compulsory Insurance against Industrial Accidents & Occupational Diseases insurance type. According to APA-Economics, an event on this was held, today. Azerbaijani Finance Ministry’s State Insurance Supervision Service Head Namig Khalilov, Supervisory Board Chairman of the Azerbaijani Insurers Association Azer Aliyev, head of the Main State Labour Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labour & Social Protection Maharram Maharov and representatives of other state bodies attended the event.

According to N.Khalilov, all difficulties will be eliminated after employment of this law. Each employer will insure staffs, compulsory.

M. Maharov says that as the result of industrial accidents 259 (128 died) persons were injured in 2007, 255 in 2008 (72 died), 250 in 2009 (69 died). Iâ€™m sure that, number of injured persons will be decreased after employment of law.

Then, the determining of tariffs of Compulsory Insurance against Industrial Accidents & Occupational Diseases, accounting of average monthly salary for determining of payment of monthly insurance claim, determining of insurance payment and other issues were discussed at the event.
