According to APA-Economics, billionaire Roman Abramovich ranked first. an island for $400 million and is only going to use it to house his art. His fortune is 11.2 billion dollars.

Steve Cohen has ranked second. He spent $ 145.4 mln for modern paintings. Mian Muhammad Mansha has ranked third. Pakistan’s first billionaire and his family bought the St. James Hotel & Club in London’s exclusive Green Park neighbourhood for between $85 and $95 million. U.K. realtor Savills called the hotel sale one of the most expensive ever on a price-per-room basis: With only 60 suites, the deal works out to about $1.5 million per room.

Carlos Slim has bought a house in New-York for 44 mln dollars. Kelcy Warren, chairman, chief executive of our Energy Transfer Partners LP, a natural gas pipeline company that landed Mr. Warren as a fresh face on Forbes’ billionaires list, just paid $46.5 million for a 3,500 acre ranch in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, near Telluride: Bootjack Ranch. 14,000 square feet, 27 bedrooms, 29 bathrooms, four half baths, according to Sotheby’s.

London jeweller Lawrence Graff paid nearly $46 million for a 24.78-carat pink diamond, now known as the Graff Pink, has acquired two unusually large rough diamonds from the Letseng Mine in Lesotho. Graff acquired the two diamonds – one 184-carat stone and one 196-carat stone – at a sealed-bid tender in Antwerp.

Besides, Hong Kong’s fifth-richest man bought a pair of imperial cloisonné enamel double crane censers for HK$129.5 million (US$16.7 million) at Christie’s International auction in the city. The crane censers, which were expected to sell for more than HK$120 million, are from the Fonthill House collection of Alfred Morrison, a 19th-century English collector of Chinese art, according to Christie’s.
