Demirbank increases assets by 17%

Baku. Elnur Huseyngulu – APA-Economics. As of December 1, 2010, Azerbaijan-based Demirbank’s assets stood at AZN 288 mln, up 17.2% compared to a year.

Volume of the loan portfolio also increased by 25.3% and reached 228.9 mln AZN.

Total value of customer deposits as of December 1, 2010 is equal to 98.2 mln AZN. Value of population’s deposits has reached 81.1 mln AZN, which represents a 22.6% or 14.9 mln AZN increase.

As of December 1, 2010 DemirBank’s shareholders capital amounted 20 mln AZN, while total regulatory capital reached 48.5 mln AZN.

One of the first banks of Azerbaijan, DemirBank (formerly called Azerdemiryolbank) started its operations in October 1989. Shareholders of the Banks include large international financial institutions, such as European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO).
