Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Kauthar Bank intends to become a associative member of Visa International Payment System by the end of this year, bank’s spokesman Shahriyar Pashali told APA.
According to him, all documents on membership to international system have been already submitted to the opposite side and an official letter is expected to be sent by Visa by the end of this year. “After membership, we plan to issue near 1000 Visa plastic cards. The base price of each card is about 1 euro. 70% of cards will be debit, 30% - credit cards. Annual service fee for debit cards is approximately AZN 20, for credit cards – AZN 10 in a month.â€
Kauthar Bank has been in operation since 1989.
