CBA increases volume of operations on giving liquidity

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Central Bank of Azerbaijan did not make significant amendments to the instruments of monetary policy, during 9 months, did not change the parameters of interest corridor for support of economic growth and business activity, kept the accounting rate at 2%, lower limit of corridor at 1%, upper limit of corridor at 7%, CBA’s Monetary Policy for January-September, 2010 reports.

The minimum reserve standards was not changed and stood at 0.5%, during the same period. Remaining of average term of minimum reserve standards as 1 month created useful condition for optimal regulation of liquidity by the banks.

As the result, CBA kept its liquidity window open during the 9 months. As of October 1, the balance on operations increased from AZN 1 454 mln to 1 709.4 mln
